Welcome to Twenty Four Seven Nursing agency. The information
below will help us to help you.
Good reliable staff, make our clients happy. The happier the clients
are with our service, the more work they will give us, therefore the
more work there is for You!
Availability
Each week we will send you an availability sheet to fill in and return
with your time sheets, alternatively you can fill out the availability
sheet online and obtain time sheets
from our downloads area. The information you give us will be transferred
onto our system so that we can match up the shifts that are given
to us with the workers available.
Your availability may change. If so just give us a call and we will
amend our information.
Time sheets
Please remember the following points: • Fill in your time
sheets correctly • Make sure the nurse in charge signs in
the appropriate place • Make sure you sign your time sheet
• Leave the blue copy with the client
• Send the top 2 copies back to us by 12md every Monday.
Uniforms
Work done with certain clients does not require a uniform, but you
must look neat and tidy at all times. If you require a uniform please
telephone 01943 604777 and say that
you require a 357 tunic top in white, with eau-de-nil trim and a
logo. We will take payment over the phone (approx £20) and
your uniform will be delivered to you within 3-5 working days, alternatively
click here to download a uniform request
form simply print out the form and return it by post.
Please remember the following particularly if you are not wearing
uniform:
• Always wear appropriate footwear i.e. flat shoes with a
closed toe
• Do not wear your best clothes. Smart casual will do.
• Do not wear clothes that are too revealing.
Jewellery
Jewellery should not be worn with the exception of wedding rings.
Time keeping
It is your responsibility to turn up for your shift on time. Please
allow yourself plenty of time to get there, but if you do find you
are going to be late, please telephone the client and let them know.
If you do not have the clients phone number, please telephone the
office and we will call the client for you.
Working time regulations
Unless you sign a disclaimer, you are only entitled to work a maximum
of 48 hours per week.
Overseas students from none EU countries are only allowed to work
up to a maximum of 20 hours per week during term time. In holiday
time you may work up to fulltime hours.
Holiday pay
For every 13 hours worked you are entitled to 1 hour holiday pay.
This is the equivalent to 4 weeks leave per annum (pro rata).
If you wish to claim any holiday pay, please telephone the office
between Monday and Friday 9am to 5pm.
Out of hours calls
If you have any queries please try to call the office during normal
hours (Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm). If there is an emergency you
may ring at any time and we will do all we can to help.
Mobile phones
Mobile phones must not be used whilst on duty. Please keep them
locked in a safe place. If we need to contact you urgently, we will
ring your place of assignment and ask to speak to you, or alternatively
we will leave a message on your phone.
Sleeping on duty
Sleeping on duty is an extremely serious offence. If you feel that
you may be too tired to work, please refuse a shift. It is far better
to lose a nights pay than lose your job!
I.D. badges
Please be aware that these must be worn at all times even when you
are on an assignment where no uniform is required.
Swapping shifts
Do not decide that you can’t do a shift and give it to a friend
or colleague to do.
Smoking
It is not permissible to smoke on duty.
We hope that you will enjoy working for Twenty Four Seven. If you
have any further questions you would like answering, please do not
hesitate to call.
